About BikeGear

BikeGear exists because gearing conversations deserve numbers, not vibes.

Cyclists argue about gearing with adjectives — "spinny," "grunty," "perfect" — when two numbers settle it: gear inches (the classic comparison) and development (meters per pedal revolution, the fixed-gear standard). Both are one division from your chainring and cog.

The calculators run those divisions visibly: ratio and gear inches from any combination, and the cadence-speed math that answers "what cog puts 25 km/h at 85 rpm."

We are riders and educators, not a bike brand. Nothing here sells drivetrains, and the math runs in your browser.

What makes BikeGear different
